The Association of Former Students at Texas (AFST) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the University of Texas at Austin. Founded in 1897, the AFST has played a major role in the university's history, providing financial and moral support to students, faculty, and staff. The AFST is also responsible for the creation of many of the university's most iconic traditions, including the Longhorn Band, the Texas Fight Song, and the burnt orange color.
