Coming Home Saskatchewan Remembered Book Cover Coming Home: Saskatchewan Remembered Ron Evans

By Ron Evans

Coming Home Saskatchewan Remembered is a memoir of a Saskatchewan boy who grew up in the 1940s and 1950s. Ron Evans was born in 1940 in the small town of Wynyard, Saskatchewan. He grew up on a farm with his parents and four siblings. Evans' memoir is a nostalgic look back at his childhood in Saskatchewan. He writes about the simple pleasures of life on the farm, the close-knit community, and the importance of family. Evans also writes about the challenges of growing up in a rural area during a time of economic hardship. Despite the challenges, Evans' memoir is filled with warmth and humor. He paints a vivid picture of life in Saskatchewan during the 1940s and 1950s, and his stories will resonate with anyone who has ever lived in a small town.

Excerpt from Coming Home Saskatchewan Remembered

I was born in 1940 in the small town of Wynyard, Saskatchewan. My parents were farmers, and I grew up on a farm with my four siblings. Life on the farm was hard, but it was also good. We had everything we needed, and we were always surrounded by family and friends. I remember the summers best. We would spend our days swimming in the creek, playing baseball in the fields, and helping out with the farm work. In the evenings, we would sit around the campfire and sing songs. I loved growing up on the farm. It was a simple life, but it was a good life.
