About the Author
Gen. John Smith is a retired United States Army General who served in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions during the Battle of Ia Drang, and later went on to become the Commander of the 101st Airborne Division. After retiring from the military, Gen. Smith worked as a military analyst and author. He currently resides in Florida.
