Alice de Janzé was a beautiful and wealthy socialite who was married to a French aristocrat. She was also a close friend of Lord Erroll, a British peer who was found murdered in Kenya in 1941. Erroll's death was never solved, and there have been many theories about who killed him and why.

Fox's book provides new evidence that suggests that Alice de Janzé was involved in Erroll's murder. He also reveals that de Janzé had a secret affair with Erroll, and that she was pregnant with his child at the time of his death.

The Scandalous Life of Alice de Janzé and the Mysterious Death of Lord Erroll is a fascinating and well-written book that sheds new light on one of the most enduring mysteries of the 20th century.

Alice de Janzé

Alice de Janzé was born in 1899 into a wealthy and aristocratic family. She was a beautiful and intelligent woman, and she quickly became a popular figure in Parisian society. In 1922, she married Count Louis de Janzé, a French aristocrat. The couple had two children, but their marriage was not a happy one.

In 1930, Alice de Janzé met Lord Erroll, a British peer who was stationed in Kenya. The two quickly became close friends, and they soon began an affair. Erroll was a charming and charismatic man, and Alice de Janzé was drawn to his adventurous spirit. The affair lasted for several years, and it ended only when Erroll was murdered in 1941.

Lord Erroll

Lord Erroll was born in 1902 into a wealthy and aristocratic family. He was a handsome and athletic man, and he was known for his love of adventure. In 1934, he was appointed Governor of Kenya. Erroll was a popular and well-respected governor, but he also had a reputation for being a womanizer.

In 1940, Erroll met Alice de Janzé. The two quickly became close friends, and they soon began an affair. The affair lasted for several months, but it ended when Erroll was murdered in 1941.

The Murder of Lord Erroll

Lord Erroll was murdered on the night of January 24, 1941. He was shot in the back of the head while he was sitting in his car. The murder was never solved, and there have been many theories about who killed him and why.

One theory is that Erroll was killed by the British government because he was involved in a plot to overthrow the government. Another theory is that he was killed by his wife, who was jealous of his affair with Alice de Janzé. Still another theory is that he was killed by a white supremacist group who was opposed to his pro-African policies.

The Scandalous Life of Alice de Janzé

After Lord Erroll's murder, Alice de Janzé returned to France. She never remarried, and she died in 1993. In her later years, she wrote a memoir in which she claimed that she had been in love with Erroll and that she had always believed that he had been murdered by the British government.

The Scandalous Life of Alice de Janzé and the Mysterious Death of Lord Erroll is a fascinating and well-written book that sheds new light on one of the most enduring mysteries of the 20th century.
